($500 CASH BONUS UP FOR GRABS FOR FIRST TIME ENTRANT WHO WINS COURTESY OF QUIETWOODS RV SALES & SERVICE)

(KAUKAUNA, WI) – The local dirt sport modifieds will be slipping and sliding through the corners on the paved quarter-mile oval August 6 as the popular “Pavement Pounder” returns to Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna during it’s “Thursday Night Thunder” program.

The event sponsor Quietwoods RV Sales and Service is also throwing up a $500 cash bonus to any first-time winner who is competing in his or her first ever Pavement Pounder series race at WIR.

The event draws drivers from area dirt tracks located in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan and has seen three different winners in the six shows that have been run. Neenah’s Kevin Bethke has won the past three events (two in ’19 and one in ’18). Appleton’s Brock Saunders captured a pair of the Pavement Pounders in ’18 while Waupun’s Jeff Steenbergen won the inaugural event in ’17.

A draw/redraw format will be used, and the feature will be 20 laps in length. Drivers can earn bonus cash through the WIR Pavement Pounder Fan Fund page located. The raindate for this event, if needed, will be August 27.

Quietwoods RV Sales & Service has locations in Neenah, Sturgeon Bay and Janesville. They feature a wide selection of new and used RV’s and can be reached through their website at quietwoodsrv.com.

Woody’s Signs of Sturgeon Bay is throwing in a $100 gift certificate to the highest finishing car who runs with a Woody’s Sign lettering job.

Appleton Breakfast Rotary Club is the presenting sponsor for the evening, which will also feature the annual Stan Gracyalny Memorial race for super stocks on the quarter-mile as well. A full field of action in all the divisions kicks off at 6:45 p.m.
