September, 29th 2026 Meeting Notes

DATE: Monday, September 29th, 2026 TIME: 7 pm

PLACE: Meeting took place at the Colonial House in Freedom 

President Tom Hockers called the meeting to order a 7:00 pm

– Secretary’s Report has been posted on our website: www. frrc.us Rob Thomson asked if there are any additions and/or corrections recommended to the Secretary’s Report. If so, please e-mail RobThomson99@gmail.com Motion to accept made by Josh Anthony the motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

-Andy Monday provided the Treasurer’s financial report was read by Andy. He went over all the cost the club had for the 2026 race season. Motion to accept made by Jack Effortz. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Tom Discussed the Recap of the 2026 season.
    • Thanked all of the BOD, Tech inspectors, Spotters, officers and the rest of the FRRC employees for the great season.
    • Tom Hockers did discuss the Race Director role has handled many issues for the club.
      • Tom noted that the officers are not getting talked/yelled at after the races.
  • Last Nominations for the Vice President and Treasurer
    • Marty Nussaum and Mike Meyerhofer Jr gave speeches to the members
      • Mike Meyerhofer Jr was elected the Vice President.
    • Treasurer did not have any nominations or Write -in
      • We will be taking Nominations for an Election at the Oct meeting.
  • November 7th 2026 Banquet
    • Tickets are available tonight after the meeting
    • Sara and Amber are looking for Raffle Baskets or give-a-way donations
  • Tom read a leader from Dan and Ginger VanDaalwyk

NEW BUSINESS/ Topics from the Floor.

  • Team Driving Discussion Andy Monday talked about the number of issues that were brought to the BOD and the officers durn the 2026 season
    • Mike Butz brought up the idea of just “Getting rid of team driving all together”
    • Eathan Beattie asked if the main problem is the wording of a “Disabled” car
      • Discussion was had by the members
    • Lou Goss brought up if the team driving and the Super Late Model’s drop a night idea would could be an option for all divisions
    • Larry Raygo suggested simplifying the rule. Take out the wording of a disabled car.
    • Tom Hockers Tabled the discussion and asked that the classes themselves vote in their rules meeting if they want to have Team driving or not.
  • Tom Hockers talked about the 2027 race schedule
    • The Membership was asked if they wanted a 15 or 16 season
      • After Discussion the Membership voted
      • For 16-night season zero; 15-night season had all of the room
      • Tentatively first night May 27th 2027
  • Larry Raygo brought up that the General rules 2.1.6.2 has different numbers for the rolls for each division. Supers says 8 but the lineup have been different.
    • Also, the wording “Inverted cars will start in the feature race ahead if the feature winner from the previous week”. This should be taken out because the feature winner starts after the fast qualifier.
  • Scott Wolf brought up the .650 rule and asked about it in the heat races
    • Andy Monday and Micheal Anthony have already started to work on this with the tower.
  • Jacoby Pollie asked about the number of races the Crown Vic class will have for the upcoming season
    • Tom Hockers stated that they would be opposite of the Quarter Mile Late Models, so that would be a 7-race season for them
      • Red, White and Blue nights they will only have one feature. Other nights the Crown Vics will have two features.
    • Andy Monday talked about how tis division has helped the FRRC
    • Scott Wolf asked if the division is a FFRC division
      • Tom answered with saying yes, they are a FRRC division
    • Jeff Danley asked for a specific Crown Vic Tech inspector
      • The officers will discuss with the Race director

Ethan Beattie made a motion to end the meeting and it was second by many in the room and the meeting ended at 8:12PM
