November, 24th 2025 Meeting Notes

DATE: Monday, November 24th, 2025 TIME: 7 pm

PLACE: Meeting took place at the Colonial House in Freedom 

President Tom Hockers called the meeting to order a 7:00 pm to a moment of silence for the passing of Mike Clancy

Secretary’s Report has been posted on our website: www. frrc.us Rob Thomson asked if there are any additions and/or corrections recommended to the Secretary’s Report. If so, please e-mail RobThomson99@gmail.com Motion to accept made by Ron Kohl the motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

-Andy Monday provided the Treasurer’s financial report was read by Andy. Motion to accept made by Michael Anthony. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • The FRRC Banquet is January 10th 2026
    • Tickets are on sale now $30 per person and will be available after the November meeting and at a couple places in December.
    • If any team or division would like to bring a raffle basket or give money for raffle baskets to be made, please reach out to Amber, Sarah or the officers.
    • We are also looking for beer sponsors please contact the officers.
  • POWAR MEETING
    • Insurance was still a very big topic
    • SEMA; Working with state law makers to help understand the importance of Auto racing in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Divisional Rules for voting
    • Super Late Model: Waiting for the state super late model rules are done before any voting will happen in the January meeting.
    • Pro Late Model: Matthew Wittman read of the rules package and it passed (12 for 6 against)
    • Quarter Mile Late Model: Still working on their rules should be done for the January meeting
    • Wisconsin Sport Truck: Still working on their rules should be done for the January meeting
    • Street Stock: Working on the tire wording since the D800 is now discontinued. Should have rules for January meeting
    • Sizzling 4: Rob Thomson read the rules. The rules did not pass (6 for and 10 against) the division will need to meet again and try to bring rules to the January meeting.
    • Figure 8: Mike Meyerhofer read the changed rule; it was discussed passed (9 for and 8 against)
  • Crown Vice Class on the ½ Mile.
    • Tom went over that we are planning on having this class for a couple of times for the 2026 race season.
    • We are going to have the same rules as Slinger
      • Ron Kohls wanted to know if we were going to have a minimum number of cars to race the class. Officers replied that we did not have that number at this time.
      • Judy Monday asked if the officers could try to ask the fans for thoughts either social media or paper vote. The officers will talk that over.
  • Dan and Ginger VanDaalwyk meeting
    • Tom let the club members know that the officers had our sifter meeting with Dan and Ginger to review the 2025 race season and 2026 talks.
      • Both sides were very happy with 2025 and look forward to work together again for 2026
      • Both sides are looking into a multi-year agreement to help both sides plan.
  • 2026 Tentative Schedule.
    • Andy read off the tentative schedule for 2026.
      • FRRC Practice Day May 9th and last night September 3rd.
  • Tom Discussed the changes to the bylaws
    • Changing the elections to September meeting.
      • Even Beattie suggested that we take nomination the last 4 race nights if the date of election is changed
    • Josh Anthony suggested that a point per club meeting would get more members to the meetings.
      • Discussion happened and the officers tabled this item.

NEW BUSINESS/ Topics from the Floor.

  • Ron Kohl brought up the team driving discussion
    • The officers tabled this item until the January meeting

Micheal Anthony made a motion to end the meeting and it was second by many in the room and the meeting ended at 8:46pm

** Next meeting is January 26th 2026 at the Colonial House in Freedom at 7pm
