October, 27th 2025 Meeting Notes
DATE: Monday, October 27th, 2025 TIME: 7 pm
PLACE: Meeting took place at the Colonial House in Freedom
President Tom Hockers called the meeting to order a 7:00 pm
– Secretary’s Report has been posted on our website: www. frrc.us Rob Thomson asked if there are any additions and/or corrections recommended to the Secretary’s Report. If so, please e-mail RobThomson99@gmail.com Motion to accept made by Jacoby Pollei the motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.
-Andy Monday provided the Treasurer’s financial report was read by Andy. Also, Andy reviewed the points fund numbers. Motion to accept made by Ethan Beattie. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS:

- Michael Anthony made a motion to accept the two nominees instead of a paper vote. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

- Possible 2026 Schedule dates
- Starting May 21st to Sept 3rd (No racing Aug 13th due to fireworks show)
- This would put us to a 15-week season for 2026. The officers are meeting with Dan and Ginger in early November to discuss the contract.
NEW BUSINESS/ Topics from the Floor.
- Larry Raygo brought up the idea of the officer vote being moved to the September meeting. This way we could try to get the club rules done earlier.
- Since the bylaws are up for review Tom said this would be one of the items that will be reviewed.
- Judy Monday recommended that a commit is formed to help the officers review the club’s bylaws.
- Tom agreed that it would be great to have some help. Please contact an officer if you would like to help
- People whom said they would help; Tom Hockers, Judy Monday, Larry Raygo, Micheal Anthony, Ethan Beattie and Jack Effertz

- Andy Monday brought up the idea of a kid’s zone play area at the track. This would be like a couple other tracks in the state and could help make our show more family friendly.
- This idea would be brought up in the talks with Dan and Ginger in contract negotiations.
- Brent Strelka brought up the idea of specials having double features as a possible way to add laps without having heat races.
- Discussion happened to explain why and how the points structure would need to change to adapt to this format.
- This was tabled to be reviewed by the committee of the bylaws.
- Mitch Opsahl brought up the idea of the club looking into the crown vic division as a possible alternate division to the Quarter Mile late models as a division.
- With Slinger looking to add the division in 2026 and having them race 8 weeks it would be a possibility.
- Tom had discussed this with the insurance company and they would be okay with the crown vic class to race the ½ mile.
- This was tabled to have more discussion next month meeting.
- Amber Bahr brought up the FRRC Banquet is January 10th 2026
- Tickets are on sale now $30 per person and will be available at the November meeting
- If any team or division would like to bring a raffle basket or give money for raffle baskets to be made, please reach out to Amber, Sarah or the officers.
- Larry Raygo brought up the team driving discussion
- We need to have a team name along with the other parts of the rule.
- Did we want an owner’s championship Vs a driver’s championship
- Brent Strelka asked if we could add a sub/alternative driver with the officer’s approval. This way you do not need to sign up as a team but can keep a car racing incase of injury.
- Topic was tabled and will be discussed in the committee that will be reviewing the bylaws.
- We need to have a team name along with the other parts of the rule.
- Micheal Anthony made a motion to end the meeting and it was second by many in the room and the meeting ended at 8:16pm
