January, 27th 2025 Meeting Notes
DATE: Monday, January 27th, 2025 TIME: 7 pm
PLACE: Meeting took place at the Colonial House in Freedom
President Tom Hockers called the meeting to order a 7:02 pm
– Secretary’s Report has been posted on our website: www. frrc.us Rob Thomson asked if there are any additions and/or corrections recommended to the Secretary’s Report. If so, please e-mail RobThomson99@gmail.com Motion to accept made by Ethan Beattie. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.
-Andy Monday provided the Treasurer’s financial report was read by Andy. The books were shared with the Audit committee so they can do the review of the clubs’ books. Motion to accept made by Micheal Anthony. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Banquette update
- The officers thanked Sara Gilbertson and Amber Bahr for the decorations.
- The officers also thanked Marty Nussbaum for his help with getting the corrected name plates for the trophy’s.
- Please know the officers have the corrected plates please contact an officer to get your plate.
- Contract talks
- Tom read off the changes to the contract from last year
- Big change is the club will be fined for any tires left behind after the event.
- Officers are asking the drivers to self-police this issue because we have the list of the barcodes. So, drivers may be fined.
- Gate Prices are going to change for the top gate to $15 and the member in the pits to $20 per night.
- Andy Monday discussed the updated payout in all seven divisions for the 2025 season.
- Tom read off the changes to the contract from last year
- Super Late Model Rules
- Micheal Anthony read off the changes to the rules and the amendment rules.
- Both of the rule’s packages were voted in.
- Sponsors Update
- Sara Gilbertson let the club know that all 15 nights in the pavilion have been booked.
- Still looking for a couple more associate sponsors for the RWB series. Please contact the officers or Sarah if you have any leads
- Divisional sponsors are also already for the 2025 season. More information on them in the upcoming meetings
- Other opportunities
- Sara brought up the idea of an additional sponsorships with a tent in corner 4. This area would be available for 10 weeks of the race season.
- The club voted to approve the cost to continue on the tent rental for this new area.
- Sara Gilbertson let the club know that all 15 nights in the pavilion have been booked.
- BOD restructure
- Tom Read the proposed changes to Article XI
- Many of the Board of Directors either spoke about how they feel about the proposed change or had someone read how they felt about the change.
- The names of all the BOD members were read off to the whole club so that the membership would know was on the BOD.
- The vote was to not change the BOD by a vote of 27 to 0
- Figure 8 Points change
- Ethan Beattie led a quick discussion of why the points needed to be changed in this division.
- The Vote was to adapt the new points that was shared in the Figure 8 divisional rule meeting/ chat.
- Order of Events
- Tom discussed that the officers are looking into changing the order of events
- Many discussions came up about how this would affect the tech teams, keeping the night flowing and how this could be changed farther.
- This topic was tabled until the next meeting for more discussion from the officers.
- Containers
- With the club owning one container and all the railing and stairs. The officers were looking for ideas on how we are going to use it.
- Ethan Beattie is working to get the container moved to the outer pits to improve the outer pits.
- This is a continuation of the re-design of the pit area.
NEW BUSINESS/ Topics from the Floor.
- Marty Nussbaum for the Circle of Fame:
- Brought forward a proposal to help pay for some appearance fees associated with inducting a former NACAR driver into the Circle of Fame.
- This cost would be split with the track owners.
- After some discussion Judy Monday Motioned for a vote to approve the funds, it was second and the motion passed to split the appearance fee.
- More to come after this gets finalized.

- Dave Gracyalny
- Started the discussion on how the club is going to need spotters this upcoming year. The club does not have a list of employees yet but will be looking soon.
- If you know anyone who is interested in spotting or work with the club in the upcoming year, please have them contact an officer.
- Children in the pits
- Bill Fischer brought up the need to have rules about kids in the pits.
- Too many close calls last year and the club need to look into doing something.
- Many discussions happened from how kids should be signed in to how they should be watched in the pits
- Topic was tabled until the next meeting because more talk will need to happen.

- Membership needed to win awards and points fund
- Trevor Howard brought this up since it happened this year in a division. The points champion was not a FRRC club member so they did not get awarded the trophy or points fund.
- This has been a rule since the club was founded
- Next year the club will stop scoring nonmembers in the standings after the July 1st membership cut off.

- 1099’s and W2’s
- Judy Monday let everyone know she has W2’s and 1099 to pick up tonight, otherwise they will be mailed later this week.
- Marty Nussbaum a motion to end the meeting and it was second by many in the room and the meeting ended
