GRIESBACH GALLOPS TO SECOND WIN OF SEASON
KAUKAUNA, Wis. (July 16, 2026) – Grant Griesbach scored his second Fox River Racing Club Schmitty’s Tickets Super Late Model feature on Thursday night at Wisconsin Internaional Raceway after securing the lead with 10 laps remaining in the feature event presented by Vanderloop Equipment.
The win was Griesbach’s second of the season as he looks to defend his Super Late Model Track Championship from a season ago.
Travis Rodewald secured an early lead over Jeff Van Oudenhoven and Griesbach after the drop of the green. A caution fell on lap three for an incident involving Sawyer Effertz, Mike Anthony and Jordan Thiel exiting turn two. Anthony was able to continue but Effertz and Thiel’s races were ended.
On the restart Van Oudenhoven took advantage of the outside line to take the lead. It took some time and finesse, but eventually Griesbach was able to take Second by lap 12. At this time he was nearly a half straightaway back from Van Oudenhoven.
As the laps clicked off, Griesbach reeled in Van Oudenhoven and caught him but lap 19. One lap later Griesbach swung to the inside and stole the lead. With Riley Stenjem and Chad Butz in close pursuit, Griesbach opened up a lead while that duo tried to get past Van Oudenhoven.
Griesbach went on to build a healthy advantage as Stenjem and Butz eventually worked past Van Oudenhoven. He would cruise to victory as those two were left to battle for Second. Butz slipped past Stenjem exiting turn four on the way to the checkered flag to take the spot.
OUDENHOVEN GRABS WIN AND FAST TIME IN PRO LATES
It was another banner night in Jesse Oudenhoven’s return to the Fox City’s Pro Late Model division. Oudenhoven padded his point lead with a fast time and win in the 20-lap feature.
Brian Henry led early as fellow front-row starter Chase Solomon experienced issues coming to the green flag. As Henry built a lead, it was Oudenhoven and Andy Kluck working through the field. They were to Second and Third by lap eight.
Two laps later, Oudenhoven closed in on Henry and took the lead. Kluck followed into Second. Although it looked like Oudenhoven might be on his way to a romp, Kluck had other idea’s.
Kluck closed the gap on Oudenhoven over the final five laps and posed several challenges up until the final lap. Oudenhoven got away, and it appeared Kluck’s car may have run out of gusto as he was reeled in and surrendered Second to Braison Bennett at the checkered flag.
REICHENBERGERS SPLIT QMLM FEATURES, FIETZER IS DUKE OF WIR
Father and son, Mike and Brandon Reichenberger, split wins in the 15-lap Pete’s Auto WIR ¼-Mile LATE Model features. Ty Fietzer took the overall win in the Great Lakes Testing Duke of WIR event honoring one of the founders of the class, Jim Duchow.
Justin Johnston led the first feature at the drop of the green until a yellow on lap two for an incident involving Philip Meyehofer, Kaden Kostichka, and Rick Spoo. On the restart TJ Spierowski was able to secure the lead from the outside.
As Spierowski led, Mike Reichenberger sliced through the field and was ready to challenge with three laps remaining. He got to the inside at the white flag and the two raced heads up coming back to the flag. Reichenberger used the preferred inside line to edge ahead and secure the win.
In the second feature Dan Thomson and Henry Neerdaels wrestled for the lead until lap three when it was secured by Thomson. On lap five the caution then fell when Neerdaels and Sean Springstroh tangled.
Brandon Reichenberger took the outside of Thomson on the restart then and on the following lap for another incident. Reichenberger was able to take the lead from Thomson and jump away to the win. Thomson held off Fietzer for Third.
With finishes of Fifth in the first feature and Third in the Second feature, plus his fast time on the evening, Fietzer scored the overall victory in the event.
RAYGO HOLDS ON FOR SUPER STOCK WIN
Larry Raygo scored his second 20-lap Novus Auto Glass Super Stock feature win of the season by holding off a hard-charging Brady Vanderloop.
Raygo took the lead at the drop of the green and began to ride out front. As he did Vanderloop took Second and started to look for ways into the top spot.
Vanderloop patiently looked for opportunities, dashing to the high side of the track several times. On occasion Vanderloop was able to pull even with Raygo, but could not find enough grip to make the pass.
The final opportunity came with two laps remaining when Vanderloop got to the outside, but he was unable to make the final push into the lead. Raygo would go on to win by a car length in the caution-free event.
BRADY VANDERLOOP TAKES SPORT TRUCK FEATURE
Although he came up just short in the Super Stock race, Brady Vanderloop immediately jumped into his Wisconsin Sport Truck and secured his second win of the season.
Tanner Fickel took an early lead until it was taken away by Tommy Gee on lap two. Two laps later Brady Vanderloop had taken Second. He then snatched the lead from Gee on lap five.
Vanderloop went on to build a commanding lead. His main rival, Mason Calmes once again found his way to the front, taking Second on lap 11. He then looked to chase down Vanderloop.
Despite his lead withering away, Vanderloop stepped through lapped traffic perfectly to maintain a healthy advantage. Calmes was able to close the gap on the final lap and nearly got to Vanderloop’s tail, but Vanderloop was able to cruise to the win.
POLLEI AWARDED SIZZLIN’4 FEATURE WIN
Despite crossing the line third in the Roundabout Bar and Grill Sizzlin’ 4 feature, Jacoby Pollei was awarded the win in the 20-lap event.
Jeremy Czarapata and Andy Wiese crossed the line First and Second, but were later disqualified in the tech shed. Pollei had finished Third and claimed his first win of the season.
KRUEGER GETS FIRST FIGURE 8 FEATURE WIN OF THE SEASON
Craig Krueger grabbed his first Marty Nussbaum Racing Figure 8 feature win of the season. Kreuger took the lead off a restart from Mitch Opsahl and held on to take the win.
