GRIESBACH HOLDS OFF FORCES FOR FOURTH OF 2026

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (August 6, 2026) – Although he got to the lead early, defending Fox River Racing Club Schmitty’s Tickets Super Late Model Champion Grant Griesbach had to grind out every circuit of the 30-lap feature Thursday night presented by ProAmpac at Wisconsin International Raceway.

Griesbach took the lead on lap two, fended off a strong effort through most of the race from Riley Stenjem, then held off fast qualifier Chad Butz to score his fourth win of the season.

The race began with a scramble at the start when Lowell Bennett took the lead from Taylor Vandermoss.  The outside line opened for Griesbach and Stenjem who started in rows two and three.  By lap two they were past Bennett and into the top two spots.

Stenjem stayed right on the heels of Greisbach, and soon was ready to challenge.  A yellow on lap five for an incident involving JJ Vanderloop and Andy Monday paused the battle, but only momentarily.  On the restart the duo started side-by-side and engaged once again.

Stenjem held strong on the inside, but Griesbach continually found a way to pull ahead exiting turn two each lap.  Sawyer Effertz remained close and appeared to be ready to challenge as well. Unfortunately, he made contact with the wall exiting turn four  on lap nine and sustained heavy damage. He was able to get his car back to the pits under green.

As the race continued on Griesbach repeatedly turned Stenjem’s advances away.  Chad Butz started to make his move around halfway finding himself in Third, then catching the leaders  on lap 19.

Butz took advantage of Stenjem’s attempt to slip to the outside of Griesbach and powered past into Second on lap 23.  For the next Seven laps Butz hounded Griesbach.

Despite feeling the heat, Griesbach remained cool and was able to fend off the final challenges from Butz at the end of the race. Stenjem remained closely behind them in Third at the end of the race.

OUDENHOVEN OUTLASTS STUMPF FOR SECOND PRO LATE WIN

Jesse Oudenhoven and Alex Stumpf put on a show up front, exchanging the lead several times in the 20-lap Fox City’s Towing Pro Late Model race.  After the see-saw battle it was Oudenhoven who leapt away on lap seven and cruised to the win.

Bryan Monday secured an early lead over Stumpf until lap six when Stumpf worked his way back past Monday into the lead.  As he did Oudenhoven moved into Third.  A caution fell shortly after when Andy Kluck clipped the tire barrier entering the dog leg.

The restart saw Stumpf get away from Monday and bring Oudenhoven with.  Over the next five laps the two engaged in a side by side battle that saw them separated by mere centimeters when crossing the line each lap.  Eventually Oudenhoven was able to fire off turn two on lap 13 and secure the lead.

A final caution brough a single file restart and Oudenhoven was able to distance himself from Stumpf over the final five laps.  Monday went on to finish Third behind them.

VISSERS SCORES WIN IN STAN ‘THE MAN’ MEMORIAL

Josh Vissers picked up a win in the biggest Novus Auto Glass Super Stock feature of the season – the 25-lap Stan “The Man” Gracyalny Memorial. Vissers led from the drop of the green and did not look back.

Vissers took care of business early securing the lead from Cole Biggelow.  As the field began to settle it was Jake Fuller who found himself in Second hoping to challenge Vissers. However, Vissers began to pull away.

It appeared JJ Tuyls may have something up his sleeve as he chased down Fuller just past halfway. However Tuyls couldn’t find a way past.

The battle for Second allowed Vissers to build an even larger lead. With no cautions, Vissers was able to cruise to the win. Fuller was able to hold off Tuyls for Second.

NEERDAELS AND FIETZER TAKE QUARTER MILE LATE MODEL WINS

Henry Neerdaels and Ty Fietzer split the 15-lap Pete’s Auto WIR ¼-Mile Late Model features.

In the first it was Neerdaels securing the lead from the point and not looking back.  He picked up his second win of the season over Justin Johnston and Mike Reichenberger.

In the second feature. Ty Fietzer had to make some early moves to secure the lead.  He first passed Sean Springstroh quickly after the start, then waited for his chance to get to the inside of Dan Thomson to secure the lead. That came on lap four.

From there Fietzer went on to post a healthy win over a hard-charging Mike Reichenberger and Thomson.

VANDERLOOP BACK ON THE BOARD WITH ANOTHER SPORT TRUCK WIN

Brady Vanderloop seems to be hitting his stride at the right time in the Wisconsin Sport Trucks. The defending Champion scored his fourth win of the season in Thursday’s 20 lapper.

Quinten Calmes found himself in the lead early in the race which saw two cautions before halfway.  At the midway point restart it was Quinten Calmes, his brother Mason Calmes, Vanderloop, Tom Gee and Jason VanHandel all in the mix.

After initially taking the lead back on the restart, Quinten surrendered the lead to Mason Calmes on lap ten.  Vanderloop quickly followed past then went on the attack. He was in the lead by lap 11.

Once out front, Vanderloop built a large advantage, leaving Mason Calmes to contend with Van Handel.  Van Handel was able to take Second and finish there.  Vanderloop went on to win by a healthy margin over the pack.

CZARAPATA SIZZLES THE FOURS

Cruising the top line – sometimes three-wide – Jeremy Czarapata put on a clinic in the Roundabout Bar and Grill Sizzlin’ 4 20-lap feature.

Tyler Veldman looked to be on his way to a walk-away victory until a caution fell on lap 12.  With his advantage erased, Veldman was forced to deal with the likes of Czarapata, Mason HUNGERFORD and Justin Fickel on the restart.

Czarapata, who had already made several three-wide passes to the outside to get into Second, surged past Veldman on the restart into the lead. He then ran away from the pack to a convincing win. Fickel went on to finish second with Hungerford in Third.

VANDEWETTERING TAKES FIGURE 8S

Craig Vandewettering made the most of another appearance in the Marty Nussbaum Racing Figure 8s, leading all 13 laps on his way to a win.

Vandewettering had to survive several restarts, which he aced. His teammate and car owner Matt Bauer, who started last on the grid, finished Second.

Racing action takes a pause next Thursday, August 13 for the Pyrotechnics Guild International event.  Racing resumes Thursday, August 20 with the third and final leg of the Red, White and Blue State Championship Series – the Action Auto Blue Race presented by Appleton Breakfast Rotary Club, Valley Gasket and Al Huss Auto. Racing begins at 6:30pm.
