January, 26th 2026 Meeting Notes

DATE: Monday, January 26th, 2026 TIME: 7 pm

PLACE: Meeting took place at the Colonial House in Freedom 

President Tom Hockers called the meeting to order a 7:00 pm

Secretary’s Report has been posted on our website: www. frrc.us Rob Thomson asked if there are any additions and/or corrections recommended to the Secretary’s Report. If so, please e-mail RobThomson99@gmail.com Motion to accept made by Mitch Opsahl the motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

-Andy Monday provided the Treasurer’s financial report was read by Andy. Motion to accept made by Ethan Beattie. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Banquet summary was given by Tom.
    • We still have a couple of trophies that still need to be picked up.
    • Next year’s banquet is scheduled for November 7th 2026
  • Tom Hockers introduced Jason Schultz as the race director for the FRRC
    • Jason had a brief speech and if you have questions please reach out to the officers or Jason.
  • Divisional Rules for voting
    • Super Late Model: Michael Anthony read the changes off to the group.
      • The rules passed with a 15 to zero vote.
    • Quarter Mile Late Model: Rob Thomson read off the changes off to the group.
      • The Rules passed with a vote of 4 to zero
    • Wisconsin Sport Truck: Passed their rules in their January meeting.
    • Street Stock: Larry Raygo read off the rules changes to the group.
      • The rules passed 7 to 5 votes
      • The Tire rule is still being worked on for wording.
    • Sizzling 4: Jacoby Pollei read off the rules changes to the group.
      • The rules passed 9 to 1
    • Crown Vic Class: Mitch Opsahl read off the rules and explained why we are using the same as Slinger for a possible both tracks share a series.
      • The rules passed 13 to zero.
  • Tom Discussed the changes to the bylaws
    • Changing the officers’ elections to September meeting.
    • Splitting the BOD into two groups
      • Business side
      • Competition side
    • Tom is still open to taking any other suggestions for changes in the Bylaws.
  • Sarah Gilbert discussed where we are with nightly sponsors for the Pavilion.
    • Please contact her if you have any sponsor leads
  • Tom brought up the Team Driving rule for discussion
    • No one in the room wanted to discuss it

NEW BUSINESS/ Topics from the Floor.

  • Jack Effertz brought up the “Dropping back” from your spot in the line-up. He feels that the line-up should be corrected and not just having one row go forward
    • Jason Schulz said that he would work with the group in the tower to do that instead of one row moving up.
    • Also, if a competitor wants to move to the back, please let an official or officer know as soon as possible to help with this situation.
  • Jack Effertz also brought up the idea of the ACE 2.0 having a runoff.
    • Jason said he would take that under advisement

Jacoby Pollet made a motion to end the meeting and it was second by many in the room and the meeting ended
