MAJESKI SAILS TO WHITE RACE WIN
KAUKAUNA, Wis. (July 17, 2025) – Ty Majeski picked his way through the Schmitty’s Tickets Super Late Model field and was in the right place at the right time to pick up a win in Thursday Night’s Fox River Racing Club White Race presented by Angler’s Bar and Grill and Campground, Kurz Industrial Solutions and Werner Electric at Wisconsin International Raceway.
The defending NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion meticulously worked his way from his 11th Place starting spot and sped away from the field after inheriting the lead on a lap-41 restart.
Defending track Champion Chad Butz paced the field through most of the 50-lap main with Casey Johnson in close pursuit throughout. As the two logged laps up front with Jordan Thiel in close proximity, it was Majeski who was working his way through. He made his first appearance in the Top Five on lap 25, then moved into Third after a restart on lap 26.
The final restart on lap 41 was where the race took a turn. Butz and Johnson brought the field back to green. However, an incident exiting turn two saw Butz make significant contact with the outside wall. He was unable to continue and Johnson was deemed involved by race control. The incident handed the front row to Majeski and JJ Vanderloop.
When the green fell Majeski pulled away and Penn Sauter slipped past Vanderloop to take Second, as well. The remaining laps went without incident as Majeski took the win. Sauter recorded his best finish at WIR with a Second Place run, and Vanderloop was Third.
SPIEROWSKI TAKES CAUTION-FREE PRO LATE MAIN
There may not have been any cautions, but the Fox City’s Towing Pro Late Model race was not without plenty of action. TJ Spierowski swept past Alex Stumpf with three laps remaining and held off JJ Vanderloop for the win.
The race was a flashback two the past two races. Last week Stumpf held off Spierowski while in the prior week Spierowski and Vanderloop tangled while battling for the win.
Andy Kluck led early until Stumpf made a quick assault on the Top Three. He took the lead on lap 8 and brought Spierowski and Vanderloop along for the ride. Braison Bennett slipped into Fourth, as well.
Although Stumpf had a healthy lead, Spierowski closed the gap from the midway point up until his pass on lap 17. With Vanderloop close on his heels, Spierowski held his line to make sure the inside lane was not open. Despite an attempt on the final lap exiting turn four, Vanderloop could not make the move.
Spierowski took the checkered flag a car length ahead of Vanderloop with Stumpf back in Third.
EVAN BEATTIE GOES BACK-TO-BACK IN THE SUPER STOCKS
Evan Beattie again navigated the high line to take the 20-lap Novus Auto Glass Super Stock feature. It was his second in a row.
Beattie and Mike King Jr worked their way to the front of the field using the outside line. Beattie captured then captured the lead off a lap four restart when Dyan Steinbach was unable to get his car up to speed.
On the following restart Bettie escaped and left King to try to maneuver past Chuck Gilbertson Jr. Beattie was able to build enough of a cushion to hold off King, who tracked him down in the final laps.
CALMES BACK TO VICTORY LANE IN THE SPORT TRUCKS
After claiming two early wins in the Wisconsin Sport Truck season, Mason Calmes was able to find his way back to victory lane in the 20-lap feature. Calmes survived several melees around him and captured the lead for good on lap 16.
Grant Gilbert paced the field for most of the early portion of the race, including escaping the field on several restarts through the first half of the event. However, Masyn Liedke was able to grab the lead on a lap-six restart and looked to build an advantage.
As the laps began to click away Calmes got to work. He took Third away from Brady Vanderloop, stole Second from Gilber on lap 12, then took the lead from Liedke on lap 16. Calmes then went unchallenged to the win as Gilbert snuck back by Liedke for Second.
MIKE KLEIN TAKES SIZZLIN’ 4S
Mike Klein took the lead from the front row of the Roundabout Bar and Grill Sizzlin’ 4 feature and ran away from the pack on several restarts to grab his first win of the season behind the wheel of the car also driven by his son Gavin.
The biggest threat to Klein came on a couple of restarts where he was challenged by Travis Rodewald. Although Rodewald had a couple of looks, he was unable to work past Klein. Once the race stayed green for a significant stretch, Klein was able to build his advantage and went unchallenged to the win.
VANDEWETTERING WINS WILD FIGURE 8 MAIN
Craig Vandewettering started last, but picked up his second straight Marty Nussbaum Racing Figure 8 feature win.
Jordan Gracyalny led the first half of the race, but came together with Craig Krueger on a restart. That incident handed the lead to Josh Anthony, but Vandewettering stormed past shortly after the green fell and cruised to the win.
