October, 28th 2024 Meeting Notes

DATE: Monday, October 28th, 2024 TIME: 7 pm

PLACE: Meeting took place at the Colonial House in Freedom 

President Tom Hockers called the meeting to order a 7:00 pm

Secretary’s Report has been posted on our website: www. frrc.us Rob Thomson asked if there are any additions and/or corrections recommended to the Secretary’s Report. If so, please raise your hand or e-mail RobThomson99@gmail.com

Motion to accept made by Ethan Beattie. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

-Marty Nussbaum provided the Treasurer’s financial report was read by Marty. Motion to accept made by Jack Effertz. The motion was seconded. No objections were made and the motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS:

-Officer Voting

Jeremey Griesbach and Andy Monday were elected by be officers for two years

Marty Nussbaum and Ed Howard addressed the group and both are willing to help out the officers if needed.

-Banquette update

January 11th at the Colonial house in Freedom, WI and ticket sales will be starting soon

Sara Gilbert will be collecting raffle baskets; if interested please see her

-Number of race nights for 2025

After a long discussion from many members about the challenges for the number of races in the upcoming race season. Tom Hockers did read off the profit and loss sheets for each night of racing.

Vote happened: 22 voted for a 15-week season and 15 voted for a 16-week season.

The officers are taking this into consideration setting up the upcoming race season.

-Divisional Rules meetings

-Late Models are meeting at Lake Park Pub on November 4th at 6:30pm

-4 clys are meeting at the Roundabout bar on November 6th at 6:30pm

-Figure 8’s are meeting at the X Bar on November 17th at 10:00 am

NEW BUSINESS:

  • July 3rd was brought up as the possible night for the All-Star series. The officers are going to keep researching this more.
  • November 9th Chase Reighenberger Benefit at Lake Park Pub
    • Mike Anthon did an over view of what is happening raffle backets, door auction pick-ups, 50/50 raffles and many more.
  • Super Late Model tire tests were discussed
    • Andy Monday, Tom Hockers and Mike Anthony share what information they had with the group.

TOPICS FROM THE FLOOR:

-Larry Raygo brought up that the clubs procedures need to be cleaned up. Ed Howard worked with Larry to have about 7 different areas that need to be clear in our procedures.

This will be brought up to the new officers and will be discussed in future club meetings.

-Dave Gracyalny brought up the three wide rule: There was a lot of discussion of the difference in the ½ and ¼ miles rules on the three wide. After a lengthy discussion it was decides by all to leave the ½ 3 wide rule as it is and the Street Stocks will be adjusting the wording to help.

– Dave Gracyalny brought up the idea of less members on the BOD. This issue was tabled until after the new officers are elected. Plus, the bylaw will have to be reviewed if this can be done or not.

  • Mitch Opshal made a motion to end the meeting and it was second by many in the room and the meeting ended
