KENDALL TAKES BLUE RACE, GRIESBACH IS RW&B CHAMPION

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (August 14, 2025) – Bobby Kendall returned to form by picking up the Action Auto Blue Race 50-lap feature in the Schmitty’s Tickets Super Late Models as the Fox River Racing Club rounded out the 2025 Red, White and Blue State Championship Series at Wisconsin International Raceway Thursday night.

With his Third Place finish, Grant Griesbach was able to secure the overall Red, White and Blue State Championship Series.

Travis Dassow secured an early lead in the feature from his front-row starting spot.  Braison Bennett soon moved to Second with Jordan Thiel in Third. On lap six Bennett took the lead from Dassow and brought Theil to Second.  Soon, they were battling for the lead with Thiel securing the top spot on lap 14.

The first caution of the race fell on lap 15, setting up a restart with Kendall on the outside of Thiel. Kendall was able to get the upper hand and take the lead on lap 16.  Shortly after a melee ensued when Braison Bennett had an axle fail and spun in front of the field. Several drivers were collected, but most were able to continue with some damage.

On the restart Kendall again got away, leaving Griesbach, Thiel and Sawyer Effertz battling for Second.  Eventually Effertz emerged with the spot and looked to track down Kendall.  As the laps clicked off, Effertz was able to close the gap, but Kendall rebuilt his nearly half-second advantage each time.  Kendall would go on to win by that margin over Effertz with Griesbach in Third.

STUMPF MAKES IN SIX IN PRO LATES

Alex Stumpf continued his winning ways in the Fox City’s Towing Pro Late Models. It was his third win in a row and fourth in the last five races.  However, it was the consistency in the Red, White and Blue Series for JJ Vanderloop that netted him the series division title.

After the front row was moved back two rows for two botched starts, Stumpf started on the outside of Braison Bennett in row two.  Andy Kluck surged to an early lead, but had to deal with Stumpf and Bennett on a lap-six restart.

Stumpf wiggled his way through and found a line under Kluck to take the lead coming to the halfway point.  He then began to build his lead on the way to the win.  Vanderloop made a couple of late moves into Third just past halfway then into Second past Kluck on the final lap.

GILSON DOUBLES WITH WIN AND RW&B  SUPER STOCK TITLE

Mike Gilson took advantage of a front-row starting spot to take the win in the Novus Auto Glass Super Stock feature. The win also helped him seal the overall Red, White and Blue Championship.

Gilson grabbed the lead from the pole then set a steady course as the field scrambled behind.  Despite several challenges on restarts, no one had anything in the tank to battle with Gilson. The final restart brought Chuck Gilbertson Jr to the gates, but Gilson was able to turn him aside and cruise to the win.

CALMES TAKES SPORT TRUCK WIN AND RW&B CHAMPIONSHIP

Mason Calmes worked through an early scramble to grab the lead and run away to victory both in the Blue Race feature and the Red, White and Blue series for the Wisconsin Sport Trucks.

Owen Voight secured an early lead with Calmes quickly sliding into Second.  On lap four Calmes was able to make his move to grab the lead.

A single caution and restart came on lap 17.  Calmes had fellow RW&B contenders Kyle Quella and Brady Vanderloop in tow, but was able to turn both away, knowing the top finisher of the trio would claim the crown.  It was Calmes holding back Vanderloop and Quella over the final three circuits.

FICKEL WINS SECOND STRAIGHT SIZZLIN’ 4 FEATURE, CZARAPATA WINS RW&B

Justin Fickel dominated the Roundabout Bar & Grill Sizzlin’4 feature for the second week in a row. After starting Third, Fickel took the lead from Connor McCormick on lap three and survived two restarts to take the win.

Jeremy Czarapata had a healthy lead entering the night in the Red, White and Blue standings and was able to seal the Championship with a Second Place finish.

VANDEWETTERING TAKES FIGURE 8 RED, WHITE AND BLUE WITH VICTORY

Craig Vandewettering took the lead from Matt Bauer with two laps remaining in the Marty Nussbaum Racing Figure 8 feature on his way to his fourth win of the season. The win also helped him secure the Red, White and Blue Championship.
