BUTZ BEATS BUZZER WITH LATE-RACE PASS FOR WIN

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (May 29, 2025) – Chad Butz completed a late-race pass of Riley Stenjem to secure his first Fox River Racing Club Schmitty’s Tickets Super Late Model Feature win of the season Thursday night at Wisconsin International Raceway.

The defending track Champion completed a the pass with two laps remaining in the 35-lap feature presented by Bergstrom Chevrolet Cadillac of Appleton.

JJ Vanderloop secured an early lead and began to build his advantage until Stenjem took Second on lap five and slowly reeled him in.  Stenjem was able to catch the leader on lap 12 and took the lead four laps later.  Just one lap later, Butz made his move into the Top Five.

The best battle on the track raged on for nearly 20 laps as Sawyer Effertz and Tim Springstroh raced side-by-side for Third. Eventually Effertz made his way past with 11 laps remaining, bringing Butz to Fourth.

After a caution involving Springstroh and Penn Sauter on lap 29, Stenjem stepped away from Vanderloop, but had Grant Griesbach and Butz in close pursuit.  Butz took Second with seven laps remaining and set his sights on Stenjem.

The pair were side-by-side with two laps remaining.  Although Stenjem was able to keep even, Butz proved to be too strong using the inside lane. He went on to win by a car length at the line.

STUMPF BACK IN PRO LATE WIN COLUMN

It was a night for the defending Champions on the half-mile as Alex Stumpf dominated the 20-lap Fox City’s Towing Pro Late Model feature.

Justin Woller grabbed the lead early, but had Stumpf right on his tail.  After a few laps of surveying, Stumpf found his line and took the lead on lap five.  A caution on lap seven tightened the field.

After the restart, a scary incident involving Will Timmers brought a halt to the race. It was reported Timmers was alert as he was transported for observation.

On the restart Stumpf got away from Woller and went on to build a substantial lead. Some late shuffling in the Top Five saw good action among Woller, TJ Spierowski, Bryan Monday and Braison Bennett. Spierowski was able to secure Second on lap 13 and brought Monday and Bennett into the Top Four.

BEATTIE BESTS SUPER STOCKS

Ethan Beattie grabbed the lead from Emery Beattie on an early restart to take the win in the 20-lap Novus Auto Glass Super Stock feature.

Emery Beattie led early until a caution flew for Logan Boldt.  Ethan Beattie capitalized on the outside line to take the lead.  Behind them, Ed Howard and Mike King Jr. were moving into the Top Five.

At halfway Ethan Beattie turned back advances from Josh Mueller.  Eventually King worked his way to the Second spot to become the challenger.  He got his opportunity off a restart with two laps to go.  Despite several attempts to find a lane, King was denied by Beattie at the checkered flag.

MASYN LIEDKE GETS FIRST WIR SPORT TRUCK WIN

Masyn Liedke survived a wild 20-lap Wisconsin Sport Truck feature to secure his first Thursday night win in the division.  Liedke inherited the lead after a tangle between Brady Vanderloop and Mason Calmes, and cruised to the win.

Tanner Fickel paced the field early until a caution for Kasey Vanderloop spinning reshuffled the field. It was Brady Vanderloop and Mason Calmes who emerged out front after the chaotic restart.

After another caution, Calmes swung past Vanderloop to take the lead. Vanderloop kept close though and made contact with Calmes while jousting for the lead. The contact sent Calmes spinning and eventually onto his roof.  Both drivers would see their race end because of the incident.

On the restart Liedke escaped the rest of the field and proved too strong to have the victory taken away. Despite earlier spins, Kasey Vanderloop and Kyle Quella were able to complete the podium.

POLLEI SCORES FIRST FOURS WIN

Jacobi Pollei picked up his first quarter-mile feature win in the Roundabout Bar and Grill Sizzlin 4s 20-lap feature.  Polei picked his way through the field and held on for the win.

After a lap four restart Andy Wiese held the lead with Pollei in Second. A restart shortly after gave Pollei his opportunity to grab the top spot on the outside line. He secured it when the yellow fell with 13 laps to go.

Wiese held close to Pollei for the remainder of the race, including a dash to the checkered that saw Wiese get the inside line. In the end Pollei was able to turn back the advance and seal the win.

BEATTIE DOUBLES WITH FIGURE 8 WIN

Ethan Beattie rounded out the night with his second victory by capturing the Marty Nussbaum Racing Figure 8 13-lap feature. Beattie took the lead from Craig Vandewettering at halfway and sailed to victory.
